I would recommend meeting with the family to have a good time, dancing, playing typical games, going to places that differs mainly “ Pampilla Coquimbo” is very entertaining, another important thing, I think it would make a rich family meal and meat, pie , skewers, etc. the goal is to spend a quiet and healthy national holidays.

I recommend eating meat ,pie, skewers, play spin, the emboque, hopscotch and pull the rope, also take beer and "mote con huesillo." You can also attend the "rodeo" or horse and dog racing or dancing "Cueca". And the family would be best to attend the famous "Pampilla Coquimbo" because it is the biggest party in the region and country.

I recommend going to Pampilla Coquimbo and eat delicious food typical of September 18. Another interesting scenario is to travel to Santiago there are many restaurants and eateries: In these places can dance cueca and and have a good time. The last option is to travel south of Chile , there people celebrate the september 18 with much joy and chilenidad.

I recommend visit the very known "pampillas", like "Pampilla de Coquimbo" or "La Quebrada del Jardin"
Although, I think that the best way to spend this national holidays are eat a lot of meat and "empanadas de pino".
Other activities are: play the "trompos", rise kites, dance "cueca",
    and my favourite..
shot the targets with air rifle.

these are great days off to spend with the family, to celebrate the birthday of our country by attending such a "Coquimbo Pampilla" and "broken Pampilla the garden" eating empanadas in Ramadas, skewers, or taking the traditional chicha, and of course the essential barbecue.
also performing typical activities like spinning, the kite or hopscotch, our typical dance "cueca".
but more importantly to be with our loved ones.

I recommend eat much typical food of Chile, like empanadas, meat pies, mote, and others.

Also I recommend go to pampilla or ramadas that in all cities and villages there, is funny go becouse you can buy many things and you can play typical games.

I like go to rodeo for see the horses and watch the show although that is a little brutal.

The most important thing to do is stay with the family and share a nice celebration.

I would recommend passing it mainly with his family, closest friends or loved in a quiet place, maybe do a roast at home, or hiking to a campsite in the popular kite flying ''Coquimbo Pampilla''one of the events most important of the IV Region. Eat plenty of meat pies pine. The important thing is to have fun and quietly with the family, with no accident and no problem.
