Paintings

I like painting, it is one of the most beautiful arts humans can perform.

One of my favorite paintings is this one it is called "La Condeza de Vilches" by Antonio Madrazo, a Spanish painter. It is a beautiful portrait of a very young and attractive countess, she was an important woman in the Spanish society.

It is very realistic, in dark colors for the background and light colors for the young woman. It is full of details in her face, dress and the couch she is sitting in.

Madrazo wanted to express all the beauty and youth of this woman full of life.

I like it because I think it is a great canvas.

It is a work painted by salvador dalì, is called ALLEGORIE DER SEIDE ¨alegria del sol”, the style is impressionism, and dates from 1970, in spain. the motif are some buterflies arround like a golden egg, and a woman, dressed like a queen with a walking stick. the shapes are curved lines, triangular on the wings of buterflies, square on the stones arround. you can see the buterflies flying, on the background are a kind of rocks, and a clear light. on the foreground the queen is looking something. the most predominant colors are the white of the background, the buterflies are black, yellow and light blue, and a shade of dark colors. we think that the egg represent the sun, and the buterflies fly to the sun, and the queen guide her. we like this painting cause is so much beautiful and show the intention of fly to the sun, to the light, and the buterflies give it an glad aspect. :) http://elnirvana.wordpress.com/2009/08/28/salvador-dali/dali-salvador-allegorie-der-seide-9985848/

It is called “El nacimiento de Venus “, the painter is Sandro Botticelli. It dates from 1482.
You can see in the background there is a beach. And in the foreground, Venus is covering part of his body with his hair, surrounded for the breath of other gods, flowers and a woman who expects to cover it with a mantle reddish.
Botticelli used dark colors surrounded to Venus, and used light colors in Venus.
The intention of Botticelli was to represent not only the beauty, was to represent the union that exists between the birth and the nature.
I like it because every element that appears in the painting symbolizes something and as a whole symbolizes something more attractive.
