Urban legends

There is a lot of very old legends, they are great but a little bit old fashioned, they are nice stories but nowadays they do not seem so close to us. On the other hand urban legends are more attractive and close, they show us some stories that are based on a kind of modern events which are not explained. A very well known legens is the so called "La rubia de Kennedy", which is a cool story. Which is your favorite urban legend?

A good legend is that of Leviathan, although not very urban ... But I really like because it talks about God. There were two large sea snakes (one female and one male) and that God killed the female so that does not play, because nobody could stop them.

My favorite urban legend is the curve of the death.

The legend tells that an Asturian young woman killed herself in a curve, called the curve of the death. They say that when you are coming to the curve you meet a young woman dressed in white(target) doing hitch-hiking. If you detain the car, she(it) is mounted and says to you: Have taken care that in this curve I killed myself. Later the girl disappears without saying anything.

My favorite legend is the chupacabra ,
It was in 1992 when it first appeared the Puerto Ricans in the newspaper El Vocero and El Nuevo Dia, which outlined the unexplained killings of various animals such as birds, horses, goats, etc.. He was known as El Vampiro de Moca since some of the first killings occurred in the small town of Moca. In the first instance, they grew suspicious of Satanists groups believed the killings carried out randomly. Then, spread throughout the island. The common pattern of the victims were one or two punctures in the neck area.

My favorite legend is the Schumann resonance because it speaks of events that occur on land and affecting the temperature and climate of our planet.
This space is between the ionosphere and the earth's surface acts as a waveguide, fulfilling the function of a resonant cavity for electromagnetic waves in the ELF band. Lightning causes an excitation in the cavity, and as its seventh overtone is 6Hz, influence the transmission of electricity to territories where alternating current with a frequency equal.

The Basilisco chilote is a creature from Chilota mythology originating in southern Chile.
The Basislico chilote has the crest of a rooster and a serpent's body, is hatched from a rooster's egg , and lives in hidden cavity which it digs under a house. It feeds on the phlegm and saliva of the people who live in the house, causing the inhabitants to dehydrate and eventually die.
To kill Basilisco chilote, it is necessary to burn the egg as soon as it is laid and kill the rooster which laid it to prevent further eggs from being laid. Once hatched, the only way to destroy it is by burning down the house where it lives.
