1.It was truly important then, because your social status will define your entire life. If your family have been in the monarchy you'll have the respect of each person,but if you were only a servant or a baker you won't have the best stuff

[ 1 ] The importance of the monarchy, is that it is a method of government typical of previous years, where it served effectively, as in other cases not. Because the decisions fell only on one person, the king. And well, the monarchy also defines you as a person and your social respect.
[ 2 ] Without that, what we know today as democratic government, has not been realized, something that is very common among countries, a legacy.
