IGNACIO DOMEYKO (1802-1889)
European scientist that carried out great part of their work in Chile. He was born in Missik (Lithuania) July 21 1802. In 1817 it entered in the University of Vilna, center in which graduated in Mathematics and Physics. In 1831 it emigrated to France, where he studied in the School of Mines of Paris. He moved to Chile and in June of 1838 it assumed the address of the School of The Serene one, where it was chemistry professor and mineralogy.
Next to Claudio Gay and Andrés Bello was part of the directory of the National Society of Agriculture.
When being created the University of Chile in 1842, it was named dean of their Ability of Physical Sciences and Mathematics. In 1847 it inaugurated the course of Mineralogy in the National Institute. During the presidency of Montt (1851-1861), he took charge him the exploration of almost the whole Chilean territory to make a cadaster of their mineral wealth. This was the beginning of the study of the mineralogy in Chile. In 1866 it consented as member to the Ability of Philosophy and Humanities, and in 1867 rector of the University of Chile, position that conserved up to 1883 was named. The National Congress, in recognition of their efforts preparing technicians and writing many reports about the wealth of the country, it granted him a rent annual vitalicia. It died in Santiago January 23 1889.

The equipment divided from Chile on Friday, the 19th of March, 2004. The group was integrated for: Rodrigo Jordan (chief of expedition), Andróniko Luksic, Ernesto Olivares, Patricio Venegas and Marcelo Grifferos. The idea was to meet, firstly in London with Annabelle Bond, the only integral woman of the expedition, and then in Katmandu with other three members of an expedition of advanced that went out of the country on Sunday, the 14th of March (Eugenio Guzmán, Misael Alvial and Philip Vera).
The meeting in Katmandu took place on March 22, 2004. Two days that they remained in this place allowed him the members of an expedition, on one hand, to check the last details of the movement up to the camp base, and for other one, recovers the load (4.000 kg between equipment and food), that was sent from Chile on March 16 2004.
On March 24, 2004 they move airway up to Lukla's city located to 2.800 m/s/n/m, and the same day they began the trekking up to Phakdingma, where they armed his first rolling camp.
On March 25, 2004, after a long day of trek, they arrive at the capital of the people Sherpa, Namche Bazar, city that is to 3.440 m/s/n/m and wherefrom it is possible to estimate for the first time the Everest.

Carlos Ameghino, Argentine paleontologist and explorer. Born in Lujan, Buenos Aires on June 16, 1865 and died on April 12, 1936. He made important trips by Argentina, among which are those intended to Patagonia.
Since 1887 was devoted to exploring the south of Argentina, exploring the rivers Santa Cruz, Chubut River, river Chico River Desire, Gallegos River and the Strait of Magellan. These investigations resulted in the discovery of fossils and the creation of geological and paleontological reports.

Engelbregt Gravning Roald Amundsen was an explorer of Norwegian polar regions. He led the expedition to Antarctica for the first time reached the South Pole. It was also the first to cross the Paso del Noroeste, linking the Atlantic to the Pacific, and was part of the first expedition air over the North Pole.
In his various expeditions had a team renowned in the fields of navigation, skiing, the aeronautical engineering and aviation.
Born on July 16, 1872 and died on June 18, 1928.

Albert Frederick Cook:
was born on June 10, 1865 - 1940 was an American explorer and doctor.
Cook was born in Callicoon Depot in New York State. His parents were Dr. Theodore A. Koch and Koch Magdalene who had emigrated to the United States from Germany.
Cook was the surgeon on the Arctic expedition of 1891-92 led by Robert Peary, and the Belgian Antarctic expedition of 1897-99 led by Adrien de Gerlache. In 1909, claimed to have reached the North Pole in April 1908, but was unable to provide sufficient evidence to be recognized this feat.
In 1903 Cook led an expedition to Mount McKinley and won have reached the top.

Captain Jack Sparrow:
Is a fictional character from the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean".
He is also the subject of a children's book series, Pirates of the Caribbean: Jack Sparrow, which chronicles his adolescent years, and the character's image was introduced into the theme park ride that inspired the films when it was revamped in 2006. The character has also appeared in numerous video games.
Sparrow is the Pirate Lord of the Caribbean Sea and can be treacherous, surviving mostly by using wit and negotiation rather than weapons and force; although he will fight if necessary, he tries to flee most dangerous situations. Sparrow is introduced seeking to regain his ship the Black Pearl from his mutinous first mate Hector Barbossa in the first film, and in the sequels, attempts to escape his blood debt to the legendary Davy Jones while battling the East India Trading Co..
Initially, Sparrow was conceived for the first film as a trickster who guides the hero, Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), but Johnny Depp's performance led to Sparrow's role being altered. Depp's flamboyant and eccentric characterization, partially inspired by Pepé Le Pew and Keith Richards, turned Sparrow into an iconic anti-hero and the breakout character of the series. Depp earned his first Academy Award nomination, and in a case of life imitating art, Richards played a cameo role as Sparrow's father in the third film.

Fridtjof Nansen:
Norwegian explorer was a precursor of the first Norwegian polar expedition. He successfully feat scientific and humane approach to the North Pole than any before. It departed with his ship Fram, and let it flow carried forward to drift before approaching the pole with his partner Fredrik Hjalmar Johansen also iso the first expedition to Greenland, from August 1888 to October 1888, initiates and gets three companions, the first east-west crossing of Greenland, a distance of 500 kilometres on glaciers with a temperature of -45 °.

I'D like to be like Austin Stevens because he is a every brave man born in south africa and attracted by reptiles since he was twelve, with which he has had several accidents bites during five days.
He had no fear of capturing and collecting reptiles,

My favorite adventurer is Stephen Robert "STEVE" Irwin (february 22th ,1962).He was an australian ecologist and televition celebrity.He was knowed for TV show called "THE CROCODILE HUNTER", an inusual documental series about wild nature.
Steve Irwin died at 2006,september 4th,he was recording a documental to his daughter under the sea in Queenisland,Australia.
He was killed by a stingray barb that pierced his chest for his left side,and caused him a cardiac problem.

The environmentalist and presenter of television Stephen Robert Irwin was born on February 22, 1962 in Essendon, Victory, Australia. It was known as Steve " The hunter of crocodiles " teve itcaught his first crocodile at the age of nine, this one had an extreme life full of adventures, together with his wife Terri Baines elcazador of crocodile after his extreme life he died while it was recording a documentary in a reef of coral. Exhibitions together with his baby newborn child and rash skin-divings marked his path. Here images that from today are a part of his recollection.

Ed in Robert Peary was the first explorer to reach the North Pole in 1909, alongside his assistant Matthes Henson and four Inuit. In 1895, the Norwegian explorer Fridtjof Nansen was close to 3 degrees and 46 minutes from the geographic North Pole, but failed.
For his final expedition to the North Pole, Peary departed from New York City, along with 23 men on July 6, 1908, and spent the winter near Cape Sheridan, on Ellesmere Island. Since then departed to North Pole on 1 sea or 1909.
In the final leg of the expedition, only five of his men were with him: Matthes Henson, Oatah, egingo ah, Seegloo and Ookeah.
In his daily trip on April 7 wrote (although his notes were later re-written for publication) "At the end Pole! The prize of three centuries, my dream and ambition for 23 years. Mine at last ... "
