The role of media in our society is enormous, in fact it is called the fifth power. Media can spread news to all the world just in seconds, we can witness events in distant countries in the very moment it is happening, it can make someone famous or destroy fame in just two seconds.
What do you think?

There are a lot of enigmas in our world, some may be scaring, others amazing. Mythical creatures like Big Foot, Yeti or chupacabras don't have a scientific explanation yet, hidden places too. Which is the mystery that puzzles you the most?

Oceans are a huge infinite space that make us feel really insignificant, we are nothing in front of the sea and all its mysteries. There are a lot of stories about characters and events taking place on the sea, What's your favorite? The flying dutchman, the Kraken, the Bermuda's triangle, or some other?

There are lots of programs on TV, some are good, others are terrible. I can say that there is a program for everyone. I like different programs, some series and other cultural ones. The one I like a lot is a program that is not very popular, but which is a real wonder, "Una belleza nueva". It is not a fast or easy to follow program, it is a long conversation with a scientist, artist or other important person. Nice but not for all.
Which is your favorite one?

An important period in life is comming to an end and it is time to set your plans clearly. Goals and plans are the way you will follow next year, you will need force, hope and a lot of effort. What do you expect for the future? What are you doing next semester?

I have a lot of favorite movies, but the ones I like the most are about science fiction. The movie I like the most is Star Wars, because I think the story is really cool, a mix of adventure, mystic ideas, fantasy and action. The one I like the most is Episode III, it shows you the end of the jedi age and the fall of a hero.
Which is yours?

Is money important? Does money make happiness? All of us have different opinions about this topic, for some money makes the world go round, for others it is just a way to get comfort but not happiness. What's your opinion?

Do you have any dish or dessert you wouldn't get tired of having all the time? Well in my case I'm absolutely crazy about ice creams, I eat them all year long, no matter if it is day or night, hot or cold, I can't resist a delicious chocolate and almonds ice cream, that's it, I have to confess I can't help it!!!

What do you think about taking a course with a university abroad? What about studying through internet? Being at home and your teacher in other place? It is not fiction, it is real. E-learning allows you to study at your own pace, with high quality institutions, at your own pace and with no need to leave your office. Would you like to join e-leaning?

What’s your opinion about the story in the song The last kiss. Did you get impressed by its content? Did you imagine the story was so sad and moving?

Family and happiness are everything in life and money can't be our first priority, but whether we like it or not it is necessary.Do you think that money is important?, Is it everything in life? or Is it just a way to get some comfort?

There are a lot of myths about learning and studying, some may be true, others funny and others just a joke. Raisins, coffee or getting up very early in the morning in order to study are some examples.

When you are a teenager many times boys and girls dream about their profession in the future, what to study at university, what to dedicate your life to. It is one of the most important decisions we have to take at certain point in our lives. Have you thought about it? What is your area of interest?

An interesting and disturbing documentary about our planet and how we are destroying it. Lots of things to worry about, pollution, global warming, the ozone layer, etc.
What is the thing that disturbed you the most? Which is the one you are most afraid of?

Have you ever fancied driving a sport car? Would you like to have one? A lot of people can afford one, but dreaming is free, so we can fancy about driving our favorite cars. The cars I like the most are the one made by Ferrari, in my opinion they are the perfect balance between speed, elegance, a cool design and beauty, the red color is great!!!
Which is your fantasy?

Notting Hill is a beautiful area in England, a very picturesque place which served as inspiration for a very famous and romantic movie. It is starred by Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant, nice dialogues, funny characters, great music and a wonderful story.
Which is the thing you like the most about the movie? Don't be shy and tell us about it.

Natural disasters are terrible and unpredictable, we must fear the unleashed power of nature and be prepared for an emergency. We can see very closely how nature has hit our country, the earthquake in Valdivia changed the topography of Chile, and now the force of a volcano is making thousands suffer.
Which is the disaster you fear the most? A tsunami, an earthquake, a volcano eruption or any other?

Stress is very common among students, but specially the ones in the last year. University, leaving school, tests, exams, money, homeworks, no time to relax and a long list of other factor terrify and stress students. Do you feel that way or are you the exception to the rule? How do you feel? What do you do to relax? Tell us about your feelings.

I think that a lot of real and fantasy character are interesting, some are cool with a great personality, others have high values and are real examples of life. One of my favorite character is a fictional one, he is Harry S. Stamper, the guy on Armaggedon, he is brave, comprehensive, hard working and generous, he gave his life to save others. I think he is cool.
What about you?

We've read and seen a lot of stories, some are more exciting than others and all of us have our favorite ones. My favorites are The Lord of the rings, Dracula, Frankenstein and Star Wars.
I think all of them are cool and great. Which are your favorites?

Do you like extreme sports? Do you practice some of them? or Would you like to prectice one? For me extreme sports are interesting, a lot of danger, adrenaline and emotions on the top. I enjoy watching some on TV, but I think I wouldn't practice them, it's too risky for me. What about you?

Are young people in the world similar or different from one country to another? Do they have lot of things in common? Do they feel, enjoy and do the same? or Do you think that different countries and different cultures mean different feelings too?
What's your opinion?

There are lots of events that can change your concept of life, and of course modify the way you live. Accidents, violence or discrimination can make you suffer, bite the dust and then get the strength to carry on. On the other hand, winning the kino or having a baby can move you in positive way.
For me the thing that changed my life was the birth of my three daughters, I see life in a completely different way now, it has taught me a lot of things.
How about you?

Accents may be music to your ears. Some english accents can be very nice to listen to, others may be not so nice, they can tell a lot about the person. What's your favorite english accent? Can you identify the 21 accents on the video?

Family is a shelter for each children, a place to feel secure, loved and protected, but what if you don't have it? How does violence change childhood or adolescence?

Living in the XXI century represents a routine full of activities, responsibilities and demands, we don't have enough time to rest or to share with friends or family. There is a ghost all around us, it is called stress, it can destroy our day, damage our mind and even send us to hospital. Having some relaxing activities is important in order to enjoy life. Do you have ways to avoid stress? How do you do it?

One of the most expected days of the week is Friday, school is over, you can have a rest and you don't have to wake up early. Some kids wait for parties, others hang out, some share with friends or family. What's your weekend routine? Do you go out? Are you a coach potato and just sit in front of the telly?

I'm sure that the greatest adventurer ever is Indiana Jones, he is cool, brave, nice and risky. He has face the german army, amazonian tribes and a lot of other dangers. Sparrow? Lara?, no, they are just little kids in front of Indy.

We all know the importance of speaking several languages, they are a key factor, a door to a lot of opportunities in life, but How do we chileans face English?, Is it nice and easy? or Is it a barrier we have to overcome?

During your life time you suffer a lot of changes, specially at key stages of life. Adolescence is one of the most critical ones. I used to be a very quiet boy, so serious and silent that it was very hard for me to share with other people, after a long time and some years of maturing I changed my character, interests and overcame that aspects of my personality.
Have you changed during these few years? Is there anything you would like to change? What's your opinion?

A long time ago a friend of mine told me I looked like the American actor Peter Coyote, Why? I don’t know….. I don’t like him, I haven’t seen his films and now I was almost his clone! Have you ever suffered this experience? Has someone ever told you "Oh!, you are similar to …", Do your friends call you by the name of a famous person? or Do you just want to be like your favorite singer?

All of us have the secret desire to live an adventure, to feel the excitement, emotions and adrenaline produced by a dangerous and unknown experience. Some have dreamt exploring mysterious and dangerous places, others maybe saving the world or perhaps to the ones who like something more secure just practicing an extreme sport.
I would love to be a high-tech spaceship pilot on a mission to the outer space. What’s your most secret adventure you would like to live? Tell us your dream.

Every person has different ways to live life and see the world. Some of them live very close to nature, others prefer to live close to technology and its latest gadgets, others like to live a life around money and work, each life style determines how you relate to others and of course your objectives in life. How’s your life style like? Do you like the way live?

The importance of new technology and communication has changed our world. We can know what is happening miles away from our country in the very moment. Cell phones, MP3's, notebooks, internet, etc are tools we must learn to use with responsibility. We can talk about a global village, in which you can interact with people from different countries and cultures, in order to do so we also need a common language and that language now is English.
